The hits keep coming. Our garage was broken into and two of our mountain bikes were stolen. Our furnace decides it's tired of living and dies. My parents were vacationing in FRANCE when the rioting broke out. Here's the good news the police found the bikes and yes crooks are stupid! My parents made it home safely with lots of coffee for me. And we had a small service for our 31 yr. old furnace. Attached is the cake I made for the local police department for doing such a good job.

Bikegal! Wow....hang in there. Sometimes stuff like this comes in droves. Glad your folks made it home safely. Ditto on the cute cake...and nice gesture to the police. This week WILL BE BETTER.
I bet the police don't get many "thank you's" like that. Awesome job (for the cake and the police).
wow ...i hate it when i have weeks like that .....but at least your nerves were intact enough for you to make a great cake .........
Sorry to hear about your week..but maybe you got all the bad stuff out of the way in one week.
Your cake is adorable...I'm sure they loved it!!
oh, thank God everyone is safe and it ended on a positive note. The cake is really cute!
Thank goodness everything worked out! I know the police loved thier cake - it is really cute!
You did do great on the cake under such dire circumstances....who says cake decorating isn't good therepy!
Glad everyone and everything is ok.

Thanks ladies, I'm just glad all this stress is over before the holidays kick in. When it rains it really pours sometimes. It just made me sick knowing that someone stole something from us while we were sleeping. It was a really stormy night so we didn't hear a thing. I really thought my husband was going to give the policeman who returned his bikes a big kiss. *laff* They did an awesome job and even tried to get some fingerprints. My husband does a lot of adventure racing and mtn. biking so he was just devastated. I know it's just bikes but imagine if someone came in and stole all your cake supplies. *laff* I'd be ready to do some serious damage to that person.
