Hello,
I was looking online and found a site called www.cakecraftshop.co.uk and they have a wide selection of flower paste. The only problem is it says they cannot ship overseas! UGH! Does anyone know why this is or if there are any places in the US that have these items? One in particular is the Diamond Platinum Flower Paste. I want to get a really good quality sugar paste for flowers and wanted to try several different brands. I really appreciate any help you can give me.
Thank you in advance,
Heather
Do u know anyone over there that could get it for u and ship it to the US. I know a few people in Poland I just emailed them and asked if they could do that.. will let you know what they say it might take a few days though they r adventourist people always going out to hike and explore..

Thank you all! I think I may have found a website but I have to look it over yet. There is an add for it in the June/July ACD Magazine. It's Sugarcity and they ship here. I'll let you know if its anything.
Thank you again,
Heather
My copy of the "International School of Sugarcraft Book Three" translates from British to American terms and uses gumpaste as the equivalent term to flower paste. In Lindy Smith's "Celebrate with a Cake" she also has Flower paste, petal paste, and gumpaste as equivalent terms.
There is a note in the Sugarcraft bok that you can make quick flowerpaste by adding gum tragacanth to sugarpaste, whcih is just like we say you can add CMC or tylose or gum tragacanth to fondant to make a quick substitute for gumpaste.
I´ve tried several ready-made flower pastes and for me the Squires Kitchen flower paste works best. They have an online-shop as well: www.squires-group.co.uk. I think they will deliver overseas.
I prefer this paste as it´s holds the shape very good and is good to handle. But maybe MissBaritone has another good advice.
I've ordered from Squires (but just their magazines) so I know they do ship overseas, but it is fabulously expensive!!!! If it weren't, I'd be ordering a lot. They appear to have wonderful stuff!
The postage is a problem even if you live "just" around the corner espacially when you order things like flower paste, baking tins or other havy stuff. And it won´t be any cheaper if someone else in the UK is sending it for you (tried that with my cousin). But maybe you just contact Squires if any shop in the US is selling there items.
Tuggy,
Thank you so much for the link. I think I will definitely give them a try. The other website I had found that I mentioned earlier is not very user friendly but I emailed them so maybe I can get some help there.
Thanks again everyone,
Heather
I use usally squires Kitchen or a brand that my local shop makes themselves.

This company do ship to the US, they sell the diamond paste mentioned above as well as the brands I have mentioned
As mentioned above gupaste, flowerpaste and petal paste are all exactly the same product over here
I know of the perfect product for you. It is called Petal Paste, comes in White, Beautiful Red and Green. It rolls and molds beautifully and is actually made here in the USA. PM me if you still need info on it.
