What I done was baked one large sheet cake then cut it to the shape. I had to add to the horizonal arms to make them long enough by adding cake to the ends holding it together with icing. I then I iced the entire cake in buttercream. I then used Black buttercream and either tip # 2 or 3 and drew black lines in the shapes of the broken pieces of glass. I then used colored piping gel to fill in the spaces. There was no design to it, I just started drawing shapes that I thought would look like broken glass.
