This was my first non-class sculpted cake, for my son's 2nd birthday. It is all fondant covered (chocolate fondant shell) with buttercream embellishments. I made coordinating cupcakes for the kids and the adults ate the cake. I'm pretty pleased with my freshman effort!

If I remember correctly, I baked 3-8" rounds and a loaf pan. The rounds are stacked for the shell and I cut the arms/legs from the top/middle layer. I cut the loaf in half and stacked it to sculpt the head. I totally made it up as I went and got lucky!
