Scotland
This bridal shower cake is for a couple having a traditional Scottish wedding. So the flower on top is a thistle, the flower of Scotland, made from gumpaste and fun fur and the kilt is a replica of what the bride's family (men) will be wearing. The kilt is fondant and all the rest is hand-painted. The kilt took 3 hours to paint.
That kilt is stunning! 8O It looks so real. You did awonderful job.
There is a website I was looking at recently that do this tartan effect, they use icing sheets and put the design on through a printer, very effective and much less time consuming. Yours looks great, how patient a person you must be :)
