the support was originally two wire armatures but I found they bent under weight so although I used RKT I knew that they would not be able to handle the fondant as well so I used a copper pipe along with the wire...in retrospect I should have used two copper pipes, you can buy them from home supply stores, get the pipe that is rather thin and pliable (somewhat) however I have noticed that this pipe does not like to bend at sharp angles but it does come coiled up. so then you can use RKT on top, chocolate to glue it all together and then fondant. If I was doing this as a cake for someone I would have the coiled body as the cake :-) hope that helps :-)
