How did you get the stars to stick onto the wire? I tried doing a similar thing but with snowflakes. I dipped the wire into edible glue before sliding into modelling paste snowflakes but they slid down. It looks good.

 Thank you.  In answer to your question, that is how i also made the stars.  They were made of fondant, and the shapes were derived from a Wilton mold, so they were fairly thick, which i believe is the reason they didn't slide down the wire.  Used tylose so they would dry quickly.
