Cake is covered in SMBC. Fondant border and flowers. The Martini Glass, purse and shoe are made from cooked Isomalt that I colored using gel Ameri Colors. This was my first time working with Isomalt, and I wish I had taken close up pics of the purse, but I am so happy with the way it turned out! The base of the Martini glass did end up breaking with my first attempt at attaching it to the cake board, and of course I didn't make an extra one! I first tried to use a torch to heat the bottom so it would melt a bit and then I was going to attach it, but that heat caused it to shatter, so I melted some more isomalt to repair the pieces that broke off, and then opted for cutting a fondant disc and sticking the glass on it. I then used fondant flowers to camouflage the cracks.
