I dedicate these cookies to Tucson. I still miss not living there anymore! I tried to depict an image of a saguaro cactus on each cookie as accurately as possible with royal icing. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to represent the thorns in a neat manner - I will have to think about that a bit more. These are brown sugar cookies with orange zest (very tasty), and the flowers and birds (well, I know that they look more like ducks) are made out of modeling chocolate. I hope that you guys like them!
