World Of War Craft Edible Image Transfer On Cake

World Of War Craft Edible Image Transfer On Cake on Cake Central

This is just a practice cake to see how easy the edible transfers are to work with and how they taste on a cake. My husband works for Blizzard so we did the front of one of his game boxes since I send all my practice cakes to work with him. The image was harder to work with (smoothing) than I expected so I'm glad I got this practice run before the "real" cake is due next month. I forgot to trim the cake to the image, so I made a "frame" around it to cover up the excess cake exposed around the image. Ooops.

LOL. Thanks. It apparently went over well with the development team too. Not to shabby for just a test cake (it's only one layer,non-torted b/c I was only trying to see how the image would work). From what I understand, it's history now and they enjoyed every pc of it

Thanks. There are tiny imperfections, but I'm thinking they are because I did not have the frosting totally smooth on the top of the cake. I will definitely make sure the next one is smoother without tiny pockets to facilitate the transfer adhering smoothly. My husband is jazzed to take it to work though.

Your husband works for Blizzard? There is a W.o.Warcraft disc laying on the desk next to me...I can't wait to tell my son when he gets home-he wants to design video games because of it-and I have to fight him to get off the computer because of it!!!

We have (Or I should say "I" have) strict rules about no WOW Sunday night through Thursday night because the real universe (homework, chores, meals) become non-existant in the WOW world and it's hard to get their attn. My husband lets them play way more than I would. My dtr has found bugs in his game too during the testing phases.

Wow! This is awesome. I have 5 members in the family addicted to this game, including my son and husband. For my son's birthday I wanted to do something related to the game, This would be perfect.
