First time I ever used the upside down frosting method and boy do I like it! I will never frost a cake the old way ever again. All the flowers are gumpaste and it took 2 1/2 months to make them and dust them. The white stripe circling the layers is fondant and I used a stamp impression to make the design and then went back and painted it in. It is a chocolate cake with strawberry whipped cream filling. Used silver and gold accents and then red to represent the ruby (40th anniversary color) and shades of red to whites.
