I made this cake for a friend's birthday. His wife asked it to be a surprise and wanted it to be themed around Coor's Light and Cabela's. I know he loves fishing, so I combined the idea of fishing with the neat suspended beer can pouring into a mug I'd seen here. Thanks to becklynn for her help with the beer mug. It is buttercream with fondant accents and royal icing foam. The handle is gumpaste, but it broke, so I poured some of the sugar used for the beer stream over it (before it was colored) and formed it back together. I liked how it looked even more that way. The fish is 2, 4" rounds that were torted and filled and carved. It's covered in fondant and hand painted with alcohol/paste colors.
