This was inspired by a baby shower invitation. I used fondant to cover the cake, buttercream for the cupcakes, and made "run-out" birds to place on the cake and cupcakes. The decorations were made from royal icing as well. There were small birds for each cupcake, but I didn't place them until right before delivery as I didn't want them to disintegrate from the buttercream.
