I made this for my 9 year old son, who is an aspiring astromer and wants to work for NASA. Great ambition, right? His favorite planet is Earth and I made all the planets from fondant for the cupcakes. Cupcakes are red velvet and chocolate, while the Earth is vanilla butter cake with cookies and cream filling. He loved it and I got to use my new cupcake stand ( the stand has two larger tiers also that I didn't use).
