Cinderella Storybook

This was a cake "scene" for our niece. My hubby painted the backdrop and did the little sculptures to represent our niece in cinderella form. It's supposed to be Cinderella dreaming after the stroke of midnight when everything goes back to reality. The cake is meant to look like one of the pumpkins in the patch. i'm proud of my husband on this!

He finished her body and still has to attach the head. He has an art degree, so he can do miracles sometimes with stuff. He is funny....went ahead and painted with acrylics! I guess they are not going to be edible.....oh well, what does he know about cake decorating! The cake is due next weekend, so I promise to post a follow up!

I'm amazed at these! I'm still getting used to sculpting with fondant and gumpaste. It's not easy although your DH makes it look easy! What did he paint them with?
