The daisies, daffodils, and roses for this cake were made ahead of time. Once the basket weave was complete, a thin layer of icing was place on top of the cake and the flowers were placed on it. Filler flowers were made to fill in between the premade flowers. The dark icing on the basket was made with special dark cocoa.
