Did this for a friends daughter graduation. They were having a tropical/beach theme. The sand is crushed teddy grams, thought brown sugar would make it too sweet. The surprise is inside the cake, I used 3 different colors and tinted the cake mix for a tye-dyed look. The honoree doesn't know it...she will when they cut it.
