Turtle On Log Cake
For a friends daughter's 11th birthday. They sent me a picture of what they wanted and bam!, it came to life in the form of a cake :) I made the turtle separate from the log and placed the turtle on top. The turtle is mostly cake, with ganache and marshmallow fondant. Painted with gel food coloring.

Awesome! I need to do a turtle cake next week. Did you combine something with the gel colors in order to paint? I've never yet tried the painting and could use some help! The shell & head are especially lifelike. :lol:
I mixed a small amount of water with the colors. I a lot like you would do with water colors. Be careful about the consistency. You should try painting on some scrap fondant in the same color you plan on painting on! have fun!
