John Deere Groom's Cake
Thanks to Amy729 for your fabulous example of a tractor cake! I had a lot of fun on this one and was so sad when I realized that I had forgotton to put on my RI steering wheel (I had made it in a lily nail so it was really cool! :( !! ) It is a 2-layer 9x13 chocolate with chocolate BC and a carved tractor out of white cake. Toba's fondant and BC Dream.
Great job. I know that is probably what my brother will ask for for his wedding. I hope I can pull it off as well as you did.
Excellent! I have to ask...how did you get it to look like it's actually off of the ground like a real vehicle? Someone has asked me to make a monster truck and I'm a little lost on how I'm going to pull it off! :(
I supported the tractor with a board and used a a small rectangle of cake iced black under the tractor cake. Worked great!
