This cake is totally mouth-dropping!!!!!Can you give me details instructions on how to do this. I have a Asian party to make a cake for and this would be just FAB!!
Everything has already been said. What was the occasion for this, was this to go on top of a cake or as a decoration for a party or as a competition. Whatever it was for, im lost for words.
boonenati, this was originally for a sheet cake (went on plaque on top), but then redone for a competition. Thank you everyone, it didn't do well in the competition so your comments are very uplifting
Well, I don't know what the judges were drinking that day, but they obviously weren't in their right minds!! I would love some instructions at least on where to learn this technique. You did a fabulous job! I didn't even know you could do this in sugar!
This is one of the most beautiful cake decorating things I've seen. It's so real, like some painting. You must be an artist not just a cake decorator. Sometimes we really don't understand judges!! I can't imagine who did better than you. Keep up the good work. It certainly is admired by most of us. Well done!!

If I made this for my husband he would never let me cut it, I can't help but wonder how many hours it took.
This is so beautiful. How do you make a bas relief like that?
There are no words for me to say ...
holy moly! Beautiful!
Thanks so much, but I am no artist. I took a cross stitch pattern and blew it up and transferred, took about 20 hours

I was just sure the bamboo border had to be real wood. Great execution and graceful design.

It's really beautiful! I'd have never known it was a cake!
I guess I should clarify, this is a plaque that went on top of a cake (9x13), top view. That way the art could be saved and the cake eaten
Looks so delicate and graceful!
Truly a work of art!!
Were the judges blind? If you didnt do well who was the winner? Monet? This is truely breathtaking!
