Roses And Stripes
I have this under Thanksgiving - it would fit better under a fall category. But I did make it to bring to Thanksgiving dinner!!! It is a 6" torte - carrot cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and decorations. I got the idea from the front of Mich Turner's book, Spectacular Cakes.

This is just stunning! I love it, how did you get the stripes so straight??!! Great job!
Thanks! I was just VERY careful laying the first one down and then just eyeballed the rest - trying to keep it the same distance from the previous one from top to bottom. Amazingly it met at the other side evenly! And as you can tell, I was a bit shaky, but I guess that just proves it is real. You really can't expect perfection - it is a cake!
