Your cake is beautiful. I find that i have less trouble with the fondant bunching if i make sure i have a lot of extra overhang. Also if you don't roll it out to thin it helps. It gives you more to strech and work with.

really pretty. love daisies. The best trick i have is everything that has been said above. Don't roll to thin, have extra overhang and smooth smooth smooth. Someone once recommended to me that the best smoother is a ball of fondant wrapped in plastic wrap. I am yet to try it but maybe worth a go

the dasies are made out of gumpaste with the wilton daisy fondant cutter. i then used a skewer to make the creases down each petal and painted them with luster dust. they were dried on a cooling rack for cakes! it took 3 people 4 hrs to make 200 of those.

Absolutely beautiful. I am a daisy lover too. Guess it just takes practice. I'm a novice at fondant. Luv your colors. P.T.

I love the colors and and daisies. I love daisies!! At my wiltons level 3 course they recommend getting a pin and prick a hole in the areas that are lumpy and just put alittle presure on it to get the are out. Then smooth it with your fondant smooter to help get rid of the holes. Hope that helps you out.

Do you mean the air or the fondant is bunching? There are a couple of different ways to put fondant on your cake. I tried every one that I heard of until I found the one that worked for me. Check out the articles on this site. That one helped me. That said, your cake looks great. I am sure your sister loved it!
