Blue Swirl Wedding Shower

It's my first cake!! This is my first MMF, first stacked cake, and my first fondant bow. It is a Martha Stewart design, 12", 9", and 6". It was Chocolate with raspberry filling, lemon with raspberry filling, and lemon with just buttercream.

Is that a ribbon around the bottom of the cake? How did you attach it?

Yes, it is just blue shiny ribbon. I used a dab of royal icing to glue the ends together

Thanks! You all are so nice! I free-handed the swirls, they are royal icing. It was scary at first, but not bad after a while :)

Oh My Goodness!! Your First Cake??!! This is wonderful - it is absolutely beautiful!!! How much fondant did you use for the bottom tier?

I used the recipe where you melt 1 cup mini marshmallows with water, then add PS. For the bottom tier I made two batches of that to cover it and had a little left. :D
