Great! I think you just solved my idea solution for an upcoming bridal shower! How did you keep it from sliding around while you frosted it in buttercream?
Actually I cut a small board for each one, and held them in my hand. I'm not sure how else I'd go about it...perhaps using a flower nail stuck up into the cardboard a little so you don't get BC all over your fingers. Once I was ready to decorate I just dabbed BC on the plate and the cake stuck nicely.
And if you look at most dollar stores, you can probably find little candle plates that would work nicely to serve these individually.
