Amy's Cake
This was my first "official" wedding cake. Well, my first paid one anyway. It is White cake with Butter Cream Icing. Around each layer is a red ribbon which I figured out makes the cake look very uneven. I hate how when I look at it I see so many mistakes and flaws. Oh well, I guess it's just part of the job.
I brought all the ribbons together in the back of the cake. I think some water from my smoothing the cake out is what caused the look on the ribbon. This was still 2 hours before the reception and I did make a few more adjustments to the cake. The photographers pic should be a little better.
A good effort for your first paid wedding cake. We only get better by having flaws so we can improve on the next one. Hang in there!
Is it just a reflection or did the ribbon on the first and 3rd tier meet in the front of the cake? If so, you should always wrap the ribbon so it meets in the back. This way, the front and sides of the cake are one nice smooth ribbon. Your dots are placed well, and the cakes are centered really good .... that's the difficult part for me!
we always learn through mistake if yoy think this time you try next time for sure you will be knowing wat you realy do ,for me this cake is just perfect as it is ,you did a great job well done for your first wedding cake
