I just added melted chocolate to taste to an all butter buttercream and to get it as dark as I wanted, I added brown coloring (thanks for the tip Euphoriabakery) and as far as making the roses, I guess you are supposed to turn the flower nail clockwise when you are making them and I turn it counter-clockwise...OH WELL!
You don't make them back-wards, just LEFT-HANDED. Go with what works for you. And judging from the picture, left-handed roses are working for you - good job!
