The idea is from the 2006 Wilton Yearbook. My sister wanted this cake for Christmas, I ordered the pan,so surprised it was so small. I made the cake twice and cut off the bow and stacked to made two layers. After sculptering the top and sides there were so many crumbs that is why I used stars instead of frosting smooth.
Is this the pan with the bow actually formed while baking? So expensive!!!! Yours looks fantastic - a very cute cake!
Yes, it is the bow pan. I also thought it was expensive, my sister paid for it. We was really disappointed, very surprised it was so small.
