I just found a close up of these flowers and thought i'd put them up. They can be found on an engagement cake i made earlier this year. Just thought this photo showed good detail of the flowers. Fully made in gumpaste.
They are made using 4 different cutters, 1 large gerbera cutter for the large outer petals, and three different sized daisy cutters for the inner small petals. Each of the inner petals are cut in half without detaching from the base, and curled using a boning tool. Each flower takes b/n 20-40 minutes, that is not counting the drying time for the center, which takes at least 3 days to dry.
