My sister and I took on the big (much bigger than we imagined) task of making a surprise wedding cake for my brother and his new bride's homecoming in 2007. The cake was angel food with a layer of raspberry cream in the middle, topped with vanilla buttercream and colored fondant. I hand made the roses using a simple rolling technique .
