This was a rich chocolate cake. The top was based on the wedding invitation which was drawn by a child. The roses were handmade in a variety of shades of peach to ensure a match with the brides dress as she was only arriving into the country a couple of days before the wedding. An ivy leaf cutter made a good substitute for maple leaves - a nod to the couple's canadian background.
