Cake is chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and all icing and decorating is IMBC. Topper is tylose and fondant, done using the awesome tutorials from Aine2 (thank you!!! those tutorials are lifesavers!) Sadly, I thought I was ahead of schedule and then two days before the cake was due, the male skier suffered irreparable broken legs! Using a vast quantity of tylose and a few skewers, I got that guy into new legs just in time.

This cake and topper was done for a bride who wanted to surprise the groom with a cake. They were having a small wedding so she told him she'd forgo a bridal cake for the groom's cake that he wanted. She then came to me without his knowledge to order this cake as a surprise. She requested the figures on the topper be dressed in the same colors that she and her new husband wore when skiing.
