My husband and I made this "Movie Night" themed birthday cake for an 8 year-old girl. The cake was both vanilla and chocolate WASC with chocolate ganache between the layers. Except for the wires, the entire cake was edible. The film reel was made from fondant. The film that wrapped around the cake was made from fondant, as well. We used an edible gold sparkle/luster dust to give the cake the metalic shimmer.
