I wanted to make something special for my mother's 64th birthday. Being the stylish gal she is, I borrowed one of her favorite pairs of shoes and that became my inspiration for the cake. Every girl needs a purse to match her shoes, so I added her a purse. This was the first time that I "painted" the fondant and used "shimmer" to give it that shine. The actual cake was a red velvet to keep with the theme.
