I made this cake for my mom's birthday. The yarn balls are hand-rolled fondant strands wrapped around foam balls. The hook pouch was fondant and the 'pattern book' was pound cake wrapped in fondant. The 'basket' part wasn't covered in fondant because she wasn't a huge fan of fondant. My first try at using fondant for decorative elements on a cake!
