A friend's son wanted a Shamu cake for his birthday. I modeled Shamu out of store bought fondant and tinted it black and then painted it with the black food coloring to give it the "wet" look. The water is just piping gel tinted lightly with a aqua color. The sheet cake part was covered again with marshallow fondant.
