Pirate Ship

Pirate Ship on Cake Central

This was made for a 5 year old little boy. Straight vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream. All fondant accents. Everything is edible. So much fun to make, but soooo time consuming. I totally didn't charge enough for it, but when I gave a price, I still didn't know how big it would be or how many details I was going to put on it. Or that I was going to build the boat one plank at a time (but I think the look was totally worth it!!) Thanks to all the CC pirate cakes!! Thanks for looking!!

Isee you finshed your cake. It looks fantastic. You can't price these until you build one. I know I would never have guessed the time involved. Great job. Love the cannon balls. ;-D

Thanks for your comments. Wespam, I used an 11x15 (2 mixes plus extender) cut in half lengthwise, and then a 13x9 for the upper decks. Thanks for looking!!

Love your ship! Especially the cannon balls looking like they are in mid air! Do you mind sharing what size cakes you used to carve the hull?
