it was chocolate cake, a grooms cake. it feed 100 there is a platform unter the belly of the hrose and I built the structure under the neck too. the legs are large dowel rods that are screwed together at the joints. the whole thing is bolted to the plywood base. the head is a styro egg that was carved but the rest is cake...every two layers of cake is sitting on a cardboard and dowel rods are supporting each tier just like a stacked wedding cake. It road more soundly than the wedding cake I delivered
I'm almost speechless. This cake is absolutely incredible. I saw your post where you explained about the cake supports. My question is this. How did you transport the cake? I can't imagine moving this.
Amazing! It would be great to see any construction photos or a drawing of the support structure. Wow! What did you cover the legs in? Are they just fondant? How the heck to you spin sugar? :cowboy:
I have been looking for a 3d horse cake pan or sculpter instructions for months. This one is fantastic. wuld you share the basic directions for beautifull work of art? I would be willing to pay reasonable price. you can reach me at [email protected].
