I use half the sports ball, and a 6 inch round underneath, then just angle the 6 inch round a little on the bottom so it sits just a little off from straight up and down. Works perfect every time. I roll out the brim a week before and dry it in a hat brim to get the shape right. Every couple of days switch from on top of the brim, to the inside so it dries well. :D

It came out great! What pan did you use? I was going to use the sports ball but now looking at yours, I'm having 2nd thoughts.
