Your overall cake is very cute. I really like the set up and the colors. Your handwriting on the top cake is very good. ...If you wanted the cakes to look more like baby blocks, I would have made them 3 layers instead of 2, so they are cubes. Making a straight ribbon of buttrercream is very hard to do. I think I would have gone with a tiny shell border. Keep on decorating and posting your cakes. You look like you are having fun with it. 8)

BCJean, I understand what you're saying about the layers. Believe it or not there are 3 layers for each cake I used a new recipe and it didn't rise as I expected it too that's why they don't look so much like blocks. As for the straight border, it was my first attempt at that I thought it would look better, of course once I started on cake I couldn't change the others, next time I'll just stick to what I know.
