Has anyone tried using Dream Whip icing? Is this the same as or similar to PastryPride or Rich's Bettercream? I want to use PastryPride or Rich's Bettercream, but cannot find an affordable supplier here in NC.

Dreamwhip has a different taste than the Bettercreme. I am not sure about PastryPride. Dreamwhip is okay but it is powdered so it is like the difference between powdered milk and cream. I like the Bettercreme but I find it a bit pricey as well. Does anyone have a good recipe for this?

The Dreamy Cream b/c is very good, but it's not at all like Pastry Pride or Rich's Bettercreme.

Dreamy Cream recipe:

Gordon Food Service (GFS) has it reasonably priced by the quart, and Sam's Club carries it in the bakery dept. (you have to ask) by the bucket.
