Can I paint and or add luster dust to modeling chocolate?

If you paint it you should use something oil-based, or cocoa butter with the pigments mixed into it. If you just want to give it a light coat of something you can sue an airbrush color but the water-based colors will bead up if you put them on too thickly. Experiment with a practice piece of it before you do the final cake, because the modeling chocolate has oils in it and they make colors behave differently compared to  when you put them on fondant.

Thank you. I think I'm going to try the milk chocolate instead of white chocolate and make some marks on that. What do you think?
