Please forgive me if this has been asked.  I tried searching the forums...maybe I didn't go deep enough.  But this weekend will be my 3rd cake to cover dummy tiers with rhinestone cake banding and I was wondering if there is a better way of doing it rather than HOT gluing the banding on?  The hot glue melts the styrofoam and "I" can see where it has melted and it bothers me.  Royal icing MIGHT work, but I am afraid that it would seep through the slots on the rhinestone sheeting and that would take away from the look.  Any suggestions?  Thank you so much in advance!!
