Hi there,

I have a customer that is requesting Whipped cream frosting with fondant decorations. I've heard that you cannot use Fondant decor on whipped cream because it makes it melt. Is there any other buttercream that is similar to Whipped cream? Or something light that I can use fondant decorations on?

Any helpful tips will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Swiss meringue buttercream has a lighter consistency and is less sweet than American buttercream and holds fondant decor great.  I just recently made a cake with rosebuds sticking out of the sides and it held great!

I have been wanting to try Swiss Meringue and this looks like the perfect opportunity for that. I hope it works out. Thank you for your help!
