Hello, I am a new to here and am wondering if anyone has any advise about the purchase of a compact drawing table. I've seen them as cheap and  expensive; but, I am trying to keep the cost down as low as possible without sacrificing quality.

That’s well how exotic would you want to get? If you want a GOOD drawing table, stay away from art supply stores. Go to their store where you get artist drawing table the cost will be cheaper and the tables are the same....That is what I use and the pleasure on the back is wonderful! Figure total cost around $230.
