I'm a very organized person labels and everything having it's own home is a necessity in my life. However after a few weeks of back to back baking I'm out of sorts. We bake from home for friends/family so I have all out baking things in one closet in our lower level. I've seriously outgrown my "baking supplies" closet  (and it's a good sized).

How do you other bakers maintain organization?

I have all my cookie cutters labeled in clear containers all the fondant tools in one container etc. But all my containers are overflowing and no more room for bigger ones lol. Also my house is on the market so it makes it interesting making it all tidy in one place. I dream of the day of having my commercial kitchen with neatly organized shelves and cabinets :)

Organizing my cake stuff has been a constant struggle for me! I have a little section of the storage room, so it's a challenge. I have tried hanging my pans off nails and hooks, but they just keep falling - I can't seem to get the right hooks. But it's the cake containers for freezing, transporting etc.. that are a challenge to store, as they are so big and bulky.

You could also use one of those huge tool boxes, but they are expensive...

I bought a couple of these and stacked them:

Then I bought one of the smaller ones...

I bet there are some great organizing ideas on here! I look forward to seeing/hearing about them...

I have a couple of these, they are sold for scrapbooking, but I like them because they are not deep but large enough to hold cutting boards and floral wires. It does not show in the picture, but it comes with 2 drawer organizers. This made it easy to customize them to my needs. Each drawer is organized according to medium, one drawer holds all the tools for working with BUTTERCREAM (spatulas, bench scrapers, ruler, dowels, bubble straws. Another has everything I need to work with GUMPASTE, petal dusts,brushes/modeling tools, cutters, cutting boards, another holds all my FONDANT molds .....you get the idea. All my icing tips fill one drawer, and the organizer keeps them upright in place. They sit on my worktable, and keeps all my tools easy to reach. The drawers are tall enough to keep all my gel colors .75oz size, the larger bottles I keep on top. Storage continues to be a challenge, I hate clutter yet I keep adding tools to my ever growing collection....its a bit of an obsession.

I don't own this, yet, but I like this cabinet for my cake pans, boards, and ingredients that I buy in bulk.
