Hello. Does anyone have a recipe for a thick caramel frosting?  I want it to be like a caramel fudge so to speak.  Is there any out there?  Thanks in advance!

Use the Nestle Dulce de Leche purchased in a can from Walmart.  Fabulous stuff.

Important!  The can may look different (they are changing the labels), but the can MUST say

Dulce De Leche or you may end up with sweetened condensed milk which looks very similar.  If in doubt, shake the can, if you hear liquid, it is the wrong can.

Oh good grief!  This stupid new site design won't let me post a pic.  Just google.

Hi Apti.  Thank you for the heads up. Do I have to whip this or add anything to it or can I just frost the cake with it.  Thanks!

Buy a can first and play with it to see what you want to do.  It can be piped directly, like thick ganache, or you can whip with your own homemade buttercream.
