I convinced my husband I needed to have a Kitchen Aid to take course 2 and I really don't like it. It is too heavy and it never seems to get everything mixed really well. Maybe there is a trick to using. I just keep using my hand mixer. Any suggestions on using properly would be appreciated. Thanks

ccwkg - you don't need a new KA - just have yours brought in for a "tune up" Mine is over 25 years old and is making a few strange noises, so I have to bring mine in as well. Do NOT get rid of an old KA - they don't make 'em like they used to!! Buy a new one to keep it company, but don't get rid of it - worth the money to tune it up.

Thanks Sweetresults! I never knew tune ups were an option. Is there a certain place to take them for a tune up?

I think if you check the KA website they have a list of approved places there. Good luck!
