i've been trying to figure out a more edible version of petal dust than store bought or ground chalk i tried grinding up some koolaid in my mortar and pestle and adding a pinch of cornstarch and i tried using sugar sprinkles and grinding them up but i kept running into the same problem every one needed to be rubbed on not brushed

There are some brands that are FDA approved as food coloring, so they're rated "okay to eat." I use Crystal Colors, and I know that there are other brands out there but I haven't tried them.
