My daughters birthday party is on Saturday and usually for both my kids I bake their cakes but they are usually small cakes. This year, I'm feeling a bit ambitious and want to do a bottom tier and have a large cupcake cake on top of it. I already have a great chocolate recipe for the cupcake cake but I was worried that the bottom tier wouldn't be able to hold it, any ideas for a dense vanilla cake that would be able to hold the cupcake cake?

You don't want the cake to hold the large cupcake you want a cake board and some kind of supports to hold it up as in wooden towels or bubble tea straws, etc.  Search youtube for stacking cakes and you'll see what you need to do.
