Hi,

I'm making a pool cake for a local swim team friend whose kids are on the swim team. I want it to look really special!!! I saw some cool cakes that had the flags that they hang over the pool - how would I make them? I assume the flags are fondant, but what are they hanging on/across? I attached a picture for reference -

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nancy

(And how DO you put a picture in a post??? Duh!!)

I always use dental floss for those buntings. Attached to paper straws with inserted skewers.

I would just use black food color painted wooden skewers.

they would have to be real long to stand up with that weight on them -- if it was me i'd sink them down down down into some foam underneath the cake or even some cookies under there or something that could grab it and hold it firmly

Ha! I was just trying to post picture and didn`t know that it would actually work. Just use a link icon and copy and paste the link in the box , not directly into reply box.

How about just using 18 gauge floral wire (painted), it is very strong.
